sand storms

I've read that you can get a great view of Al Ain from the nearby mountains, but the downside is that the city is usually covered in a yellow pall.

I've been wondering just what the dirty air is. Is it pollution? From what I've read Al Ain doesn't seem to be an industrial city. I'm thinking that the yellow may be sand in the air.

Hmm...
The nearby mountain would be Jabel Hafeet, which is the beauty of Al Ain.
It's true- Al Ain is extremely clean and you never see the pollution. Ocassionally, when it gets windy, you just need to make sure you bring you wet laundry hung to dry inside.

Thanks for your comment. I imagine that sandy washing wouldn't be too good! I've been able to see lots of pictures of Al Ain online thanks to a number of bloggers. Thank you bloggers!
